M ClimbFunds for the CSMAA program come exclusively from contributions from alumni, many of whom are former recipients of these loans, and from loan repayments.

To be eligible, a student must be currently enrolled at Mines as a junior, senior, or graduate student at the thesis stage.

Repayment is expected on a monthly basis and is to be completed in no more than three years after graduation or leaving Mines.

Though the first loan installment is not expected until three months after graduation, loan interest begins upon graduation.
